The Problem

Engineering teams managing multi-cloud environments struggle with fragmented monitoring tools. AWS CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring, and Azure Monitor each have their own dashboards, alert formats, and pricing models. Teams waste hours context-switching between consoles and miss critical incidents because alerts are scattered across different systems.

Cost visibility is another pain point — organizations often discover runaway spending only at the end of the billing cycle, when it's too late to act.

The Solution

CloudPulse provides a single pane of glass for monitoring infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure. It aggregates metrics, logs, and traces into a unified dashboard with intelligent alerting that reduces noise and highlights what actually matters.

Key Features

  • Unified Dashboard: A single view across all cloud providers — EC2, Cloud Run, Azure VMs, managed databases, serverless functions, and more
  • Smart Alerting: ML-based anomaly detection that learns normal patterns and only alerts on true deviations, reducing alert fatigue by up to 70%
  • Cost Optimization: Real-time spend tracking with daily cost breakdowns, budget alerts, and right-sizing recommendations for underutilized resources
  • Incident Timeline: When something breaks, CloudPulse auto-correlates events, deployments, and config changes to show probable root cause
  • Custom Dashboards: Drag-and-drop dashboard builder with 30+ widget types — line charts, heatmaps, counters, status maps, and logs panels
  • Uptime Monitoring: HTTP, TCP, and DNS checks from 15 global locations with latency tracking and SSL certificate expiry alerts
  • Team Collaboration: Shared dashboards, annotations, on-call rotation management, and escalation policies
  • Integrations: Slack, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Jira, and webhook-based workflows for custom automation

Architecture

CloudPulse is built on a high-throughput event pipeline. Lightweight agents installed on customer infrastructure collect metrics and forward them to our ingestion layer via gRPC. Data is stored in a time-series database optimized for fast queries across billions of data points. The alerting engine runs on a separate evaluation cluster to ensure alerts fire even under heavy load.

Results

  • 70% reduction in alert noise through ML-based anomaly detection
  • Average incident detection time reduced from 12 minutes to under 90 seconds
  • Customers report 15-25% cloud cost savings within the first quarter
  • 99.99% uptime for the monitoring platform itself
